After seeing the documentary The Great Hack on Netflix I have come to the conclusion that my days on Facebook are over.
I may not have a lot to hide in my life about who I am or what I believe, but I cannot stay with a platform that weaponizes my views, my likes and other data that I may leave behind.
I am sure it will not be an easy thing since almost everyone is on there, and my genealogical work will for sure take a beating. But I will have to find my information else where.
I am also switching to DuckDuckGo for my web searches. A company that does not save your data and commits to keeping your data safe on the internet.
It is a tough fight, that I will surely lose, but that really does not matter.
